3. Compare and Contrast Policies: In order to draw conclusions as to how some ideas are consistent through time students will analyze the two sides of the chart to determine some consistencies that could possibly be used on the following step. 4. Effectiveness analysis: Groups will then look at the War on Terror policies through the eyes of the Cold Warrior profile to determine what they might say by comparing it to situations they lived through. 5. Script Construction: Students will construct a 5-7 minute comical skit that illustrates all of these individual’s personalities as well as issues they were dealing with during the Cold War compared to issues we deal with on the War on Terror. There will be certain key terms and elements students must weave into their skit. To get in the right frame of mind watch some examples of how shows such as Mad TV and SNL have done this over the years. 6. Move Production/Rehearsal: At this point begin rehearsing the skit or begin recording/editing all of the pieces. You must provide your own video equipment and editing programs. 7. Assessment: Groups will present their skits/videos for class viewing. They will be graded on the project rubric found under ‘evaluation’ page. There will be both a group grade and an individual grade. |
