Skit DesignTask: Create a 5-7 minute skit or movie of an interview with “Cold Warriors” that asks whether or not they think this strategy is working based off the way they think and experiences they had during the Cold War
All of the steps of this webquest have worked as a way to help you construct a detailed skit that you will either record on video for a class presentation or act out for your fellow classmates. These need to be engaging videos that clearly convey that you understand the issues at hand at both the Cold War and the War on Terror as well as the individuals involved with the Cold War. At the same time there is the flexibility to have fun with these skits. For years TV programs such as Saturday Night Live as well as Mad TV have made great entertainment by role playing as historical figures. Use some of these videos of how these programs have used role playing with historical figures to make great entertainment that informs in a satirically humorous way. Take ideas to use in your skit. If you would like there is a chart to help document ideas that you like and ideas you don’t like that make an effective skit. *Note* When you are constructing your skit make sure you are checking the rubric for the benchmarks that must be met to satisfy the standards of the project. Also remember that practice makes perfect! Practice your skit so everyone can satisfactorily execute their role. Access the Skit Design Chart Here |
